My very first blog
Hello and welcome to my very first blog. I am a local teacher and I am always looking for new things to share with my friends and students, so I have been stalking blogs and websites all summer. I have been teaching for 6 years and this fall I will be moving to Kindergarten. I am so excited I can't even believe it. I was lucky enough to attend an amazing workshop at the beginning of the summer and have not thought about anything since. Both teachers that I observed were amazing. They didn't mind answering any questions that came up and offered many suggestions to help. I really loved to watch them make magic with their kiddos.
As for now I am starting to unpack all of the items that I have purcahsed for my new Kindergarten classroom. I went into my room yesterday and my sister in law and I covered all of the bulletin boards with paper (step 1) and then moved the furniture into its perspective locations. I have never been so excited to start the school year. I think I am going with multi-colored polka dots as my theme. I made my own curtains (which I have never done before) and I think they turned out fantastic. Now granted, they are not professional, but they are made with love- so that should make up for some weird stitches. :-) I will take pictures as soon as I get back in there so stay tuned for more :)
